This policy gives the clear information about how edBihar (hereafter referred as “We”, “Our”, “Us” hereafter referred to the property or asset or representative of edBihar) use the personal information provided by user (hereafter referred as “You”, “Your” hereafter referred to “the user’s”). We request you to please read the Privacy Policy before proceeding for the use of our services. By using our services, you agree to the Privacy Policy and allow us to use the information provided by you as discussed in the policy.

2.  What Information Do We Collect?

  • We collect information when you visit our website, when you use our website to order any service (including the purchase of the subscriptions) and cookies to give you a better browsing experience.

  • Collected information include your name, age, gender, email address, mobile number, address, etc. that also voluntarily by your consent. Even in the case of social media powered login to the website the same amount of information is accessed, before which you are given an option for confirmation.

  • The above-mentioned information is collected by your input to our website, but not by accessing your device (computer or tablets or mobile devices or any device capable of supporting our website in browsing mode).

  • edBihar collect information through the advertisement campaigns and our events or edBihar partnered events.

  • edBihar collect information from survey campaigns, online and offline both ways.

  • edBihar collect information by receiving your reply to the survey form submitted by you.

  • edBihar collect information about what query you searched for on our website.

  • edBihar collect information about the country from which the website is being accessed.

3.  What Information We Do Not Collect?

  • edBihar collect your approximate location using you GPS enabled devices, only when your GPS is set to ENABLED mode. This is to ensure that all the services that you are using on edBihar platform can deliver best of the experience by knowing your region and setting default language of the website to the regional language, and to improve our delivery of service to our customers by their analysis.

  • edBihar doesn’t collect information about your device. That means we do not access any information about your device’s model or make or serial number, but anonymous data about type of device (mobiles or tablets or desktops).

  • We do not collect your IP Address. Only anonymous data is collected through Google Search to our tags to monitor country wise traffic to the website.

  • We do not detect your device’s logs of Social Accounts for input suggestions. If you get to find such type of suggestion then it may be because of the information remembered by your device’s keyboard suggestion.

  • We do not collect information about your device’s Operating System or Network Carrier or Connection Type or payment methods or interaction methods like NFC or Wi-Fi or Bluetooth or Infrared Blasters.

  • We do not store information of you UPI ID, Credit or Debit Card details or Net Banking credentials or any payment method credential through which you make payments. The refunds are made through the Payment Gateway, which are authorised by Government of India to process transactions.

 

4.  How We Use Your Information?

  • edBihar uses your personal information like name, mobile number, email address and physical address to deliver you the services by the service providers partnered with us or employed by us.

  • edBihar uses information to reach you for announcement of new services or upcoming services via text SMS or emails or via telephonic conversation.

  • edBihar allows to opt out of our mailing list to stop receiving any further updates via mail.

  • We do not share your personal information with any agency or company to reach you for their advertisement. We only share information with our Media Partners and Public Relation team to reach you for any updates.

  • We share information with the Payment Gateway provider in order to send you the receipt of the payment made by you to us.

  • We use your information to send you reminders, in case of payment failures.

  • Your information is available to you on your request via mail to us. We will take our time to verify the identity of the requestor.

  • In defaulting cases, like any harm to the edBihar's employee or our partnered service provider or any payment failure or failure in debt payment or our (partnered person’s or employee’s or edBihar's) property, edBihar is free to access your information to reach you via mails or SMS or call or via correspondence address or using your information to report legal case against the defaulter.

  • Camera and Photos permission is meant to ask users to access the photo library from the device storage or to click a picture in instant while needing the user to submit an input in Image or Document format.

5.  Access to Your Data

  • Only the authorised persons inside the company, edBihar, are allowed to access the information of the customers.

  • Only our authorised partners for media interaction and public relation partners are the entities on our sharing list.

  • We keep the right to share part of your information or all your information to the government authority, if required, on producing the valid permissions of the authority.

  • If edBihar merges or partners with any other entity or if sold to any entity then the part of information or all information may get handed over to the entity.

6.  Maintenance of Information

​

  • edBihar takes utter care of the information of the customers. In order to maintain the privacy of the customers we imply strict policies against our employees for any kind of data breaches, both for online and offline databases.

  • We destroy the data of the customers in both online and offline storage if the customer or the service provider or the government authority do not require it or ask for it within a fixed time period of ten years after the date the customer is served.

  • If the customer is served again within a year of their previous service, then their duration count will start from the last date of service.

7.  Other Websites

​

  • In some cases, the website may show up some links to other web platform, for the reference of any kind of related query or other discussion. This doesn’t stand that the linked web platform also follows the same Privacy Policy. It is advised to read the user’s agreement before continuing to that web platform.

  • Any kind of web attacks leading to compromising of your data by visiting the linked site, is not related to edBihar and we do not hold responsibility for this.

8.  Change in Privacy Policy

​

  • edBihar reserves the sole right to make changes in the Privacy Policy of the website. It may make effects ranging from a part of the policy to complete policy at any time.

  • Any kind of change to the Privacy Policy will be informed to the user via email communication or through the website pop-up.
